Sleeping in Gotham City - A Batman Bedroom

This weekend we made our grandson's bedroom into Gotham City!  It was definitely a family affair, we had 6 people in and out working on different parts - no before pics, since the primer was half way on when we arrived.

We painted the room a beautiful blue, then the buildings, trim and doors in black.  The windows and bat signal were painted with yellow and topped with 2 coats of glow in the dark paint, so when the lights are out you can see them glow!  The outlet covers are going to be changed out for black ones after the next trip to WallyWorld.

My wonderful husband is the artist and sketched all the buildings and bat signal.  He also added a little Batmobile to the street around the base of the room.

We put up Transformer curtains and got some vinyl superhero stickers to add to other parts of the room. The bedspread is batman.  I think our little fella is excited!
